Summary
Wenlock occupies a superb position in the ever-popular village of Freshwater East. Situated on a large plot, this four-bedroom dormer bungalow offers significant potential for extension or redevelopment. It is incredibly rare to find a property in such a prime location within the Pembrokeshire National Park that combines exceptional sea views with such versatile development opportunities.
Owned by the same family since it was built in the 1950s, this is the first time Wenlock has been available on the open market. The property boasts a generous plot with frontage to two roads and benefits from easy access to the stunning Freshwater East beach.
Upon entering from the large driveway at the front, you are welcomed into a central hallway, with doors leading to most of the principal rooms on this level and a staircase to the first floor. Wenlock features two spacious reception rooms, both offering views over the gardens towards the sea. A bright kitchen adjoins the large dining room, with the potential to be opened up to create a modern, open-plan layout. Also on this level are two good-sized double bedrooms, one of which enjoys the same delightful rear outlook as the reception rooms. Completing the ground floor accommodation is a cloakroom near the entrance and a separate shower room.
Upstairs, the first floor offers two additional double bedrooms, one of which enjoys elevated sea views. A family bathroom is located at the end of the landing, and there is plentiful storage space within the eaves.
Externally, the property features a gated concrete driveway with ample parking and a large garden, mostly laid to lawn. The rear garden extends down to the roadway behind. Additionally, there is a generously sized, block-built shed to the rear of the property, ideal for storage or use as a workshop. Subject to planning consent, there may be potential to build on the land to the rear, offering further scope for development.
As impressive as this welcoming home is, its location has arguably been its most appealing feature to the current owners. Wenlock is ideally positioned in the sought-after village of Freshwater East. The local pub is just a short stroll away, and the Pembrokeshire Coast Path is literally moments from the front door. The road behind Wenlock leads directly to the golden sands of Freshwater East beach, undoubtedly one of the finest in the county.
While Wenlock presents a fantastic opportunity for extension and redevelopment, it has also served as a cherished family home for generations. This wonderfully positioned property offers incredible potential to a wide range of buyers.
Opportunities to purchase such a flexible and appealing home in the ever-popular Freshwater East are exceptionally rare, this is one not to be missed.
