External
Extending to approximately fourteen and a half acres the grounds at Penlanfeigan are a fantastic feature of the property. The main house and its surrounding outbuildings are positioned at the centre of the grounds, tucked away from the quiet lane that leads to it. As you approach the home you arrive on a sweeping driveway which is fenced and gated from the lane. The drive skirts a large paddock found to the south of the buildings before it arrives at the large courtyard in front of the house. The driveway also continues around to the side of the workshop where there is an additional large parking area which leads up to the sizeable Dutch barn which has storage and garaging inside it. To the side of this area is a utility block with water and power connected along with a levelled concrete slab that once had a park home sited on it. Subject to any relevant planning this could be reinstated for overflow accommodation to the main property, as power, water and drainage are all ready to be connected.
To the west of the main buildings, you find another block built barn, which offers great storage for machinery. Next to this barn is the footprint of a similar sized, block built, barn which could be reroofed and brought back into service if needed. Behind these buildings you find a highly productive vegetable garden and orchard with a thirty six foot long poly tunnel also found in the space. For any gardener of smallholder this area is sure to provide plenty of enjoyment and produce.
To the rear and eastern side of the main house you find wonderfully maintained gardens and seating areas, with a beautiful formal courtyard garden having been created behind the workshop. A water feature has been added in this area and there is an additional feature pond in the centre of the courtyard at the front of the home.
The rest of the grounds at Penlanfeigan comprise paddocks which have been filled with trees and specimen planting. A particular highlight is the avenue of Poplar trees to the rear of the home which are just some of the hundreds of trees planted by the current owners. The grounds provide a haven for local wildlife and the carefully mown paths through the woodland are a joy to wander.
The options offered by the grounds are numerous and it could be the perfect base for a camping/glamping or wedding venue should a purchaser wish to explore these options.
